Angkor Borie has been a witness to several rise and fall of dynasties thus, the aftermath of their reign is still visible. Angkor Borie is one of those rare places, which had both Funan and Chenla ruling for quite some time.
What can you find there?
Ø  Angkor Borei itself is a fascinating place with abundant greenery and the river to accompany
Ø  Situated on the banks of the Mekong river, the village had been the capital during the Khmer reign in Cambodia
Ø  During the 8th century during the reign of the Chelna, Angkor Borie was also known as Vyadhapura
Ø  One would find a huge influence of various aspects of Indian traditions due to the immense trading by Indian traders that happened at the Mekong delta en-route China.
Ø  The Moated wall enclosing the little town still has inscriptions of the Khmer rule which were done in the 6th century.
Ø  Tourists are usually in awe of the rural life of Takeo en-route the 45 minute boat ride on canal no. 15

How to get to Angkor Borie
Angkore Borei can be approached through both land and water. The option to reach Angkor Borei through a boat is a much preffered option due to it’s scenic view.
A trip to Angkor Borie and Phnom Da, is US$15 to 25 it takes around three hours to do a round trip.
