Wat
Langka is one of the most serene and peaceful place in Phnom Penh, Cambodia which was built in the
year 1442. This beautiful Wat is strewn with Buddhist monks practising Vipassana
from all over the world, especially Cambodia and Sri Lankan monks are
frequently seen chanting their hymns.. The Wat overlooks the Independence
monument which is just round the corner.
What can you
find there?
Ø The main temple
has a huge Buddha idol beautifully sculpted. The ceiling has extra ordinary
work of art, hand painted by artisans.
Ø Hourly
meditation classes are organised four times in a week, Monday, Thursday and
Saturday from 6.00pm to 7.00pm and Sunday at 8.30am inside the premises of Wat
Langka
Ø Try group
meditation or meditate in the tranquil ambience for a fresh lease of life.
Ø The
architecture of Wat Langka is quite intriguing and has been well preserved all
these years.
Ø The wat has
three main gates to approach the main temple. Be sure to open your shoes before
entering the temple.

Wat Langka
Wat
Lanka is centrally located in the heart of the city, thus the tuk-tuks will be
more than happy to take you there. You could also book a car from the hotel or your
travel agent.
