Royal Palace
The
Royal palace which was established in 1860’s has been built to house the royal
family of Cambodia. The Kings of Cambodia were the occupants of this palatial
and beautifully crafted Palace. It is situated very closely on the banks of the
two prominent rivers of Cambodia, The Tonle Sap River and the Mekong river.

find there?
Ø It has several
buildings within the Palace campus with amazing Cambodian architecture
Ø The Palace
compound is divided in to four zones. South zone has the silver Pagoda, North
side has the Khemarin palace, the central compound has the main Throne Hall and
the west side has the Inner court, which is a private zone.
Ø The Palace
ground is strewn with colourful exotic flowers in different parts making the
Palace extremely lively.
Ø This well
managed palace has several Frescoe painting which will leave the visitors in
awe.
Ø The emerald
Buddha garners the maximum attention
Ø There are
several stupas containing the remains of the members of the royal family.

The
Royal Palace is centrally located thus, can be approached through any mode of
transport.

keep your shoulders and knees covered during your visit to the palace.
Ø A stay at the
nearby hotels can offer a birds’ eye view of the Royal palace.
Ø Photography is
not allowed in a few sites.

to Saturday, 8.00am to 11.00am and 2.00pm to 5.00pm

head and US$10 for two guides
